Research for Heritage Professionals

In many instances, detailed historical research can help understand historic buildings and settings, providing context for advice relating to the historic environment. I have carried out research on a broad range of building types, as well as establishing historical land use for both industrial and agricultural sites. Previous clients have included heritage consultants, private homeowners, architects, businesses and archaeology consultants.

Services for heritage professionals can range from document sourcing to fully referenced research reports which provide a comprehensive history of a building. I frequently use the following libraries and archives in the course of my research:

The London Archives | The RIBA Library | The National Archives | The British Library | Historic England Archive | Local Studies Libraries

Details of fees can be given for both hourly and daily rates, with flexibility offered depending on the specifics of the project. For further details, please email info@elizabethdoyle.co.uk or use the contact form above.
